A Holiday Musical Celebration with Jamie Baer Peterson and the Musicale Amice Trio

Musicale Amice is a trio of professional musicians who also happen to be dear friends. Their 45 min Classic Holiday Music program has everything from “O Holy Night” to “White Christmas”.
Jamie Baer Peterson, a native of Minnesota was educated at the Eastman School of
Music and began her opera career as an apprentice with the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
Her career as an opera singer lead her to perform throughout the United States,
Canada and France singing leading roles with L’Opera de Nice, Santa Fe Opera, New
York City Opera and Minnesota Opera to name a few. She also sang as a soloist with
the Symphonies of Dallas, Atlanta, Hartford, Omaha, Princeton and Westfield; and in
two national broadcasts with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Jamie has taught at
Monmouth University and SUNY Fredonia and is currently on the faculty at the
Wharton Institute of Performing Arts. She lives in New Providence, NJ with her
husband and three children.
Lois Buesser has performed as piano soloist, accompanist, singer and club band
keyboardist. She has sung in chamber choruses, entertained troops with the
USO\DOD in Europe and Asia and has been the music director for area theatres and
schools. Lois bi-annually performs “Lois Buesser’s Musical Extravaganza” at St
Mark’s Episcopal Church in Basking Ridge where she is the organist. Lois also
directs the Humdingers, a women’s touring troupe in the Montclair area and is the
music director at Ridge Light Opera. Originally from Oklahoma, Lois lives in
Boonton, NJ with her husband and 3 children.
Sariah Mourik Johnson was raised in Germany and began her musical studies at age
7 . She immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 20 and graduated with a Masters Degree
in Cello Performance and Pedagogy from Brigham Young University, where she
studied with Roger Drinkall. Since then, Sariah has been an avid chamber music
player. While her husband finished his MBA in Chicago, Sariah organized string
quartets to perform for weddings and special events. During her 13 years in New
York City, she played in the Jupiter Symphony under Jens Nygaard and organized
and taught music classes for the young at the Early Ear Music School on the Upper
West Side. She is currently raising her four children in Short Hills, New Jersey,
where she plays in community concerts, and where she joined the PEL trio. Sariah
enjoys playing on her Bohemian cello built in the mid 1800s in Markneukirchen.
